What These Terms Cover

These terms apply when you use EraseMint at erasemint.com — a free, browser-based tool for removing unwanted marks from images. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What the Service Does, and Where It Runs

The tool runs inside your own browser: your image is decoded and repaired on your device, and the AI model files are downloaded to your browser from our asset host the first time you use it. We do not receive your images.

The only things that leave your browser are the AI model download, anonymous usage events for Google Analytics, and — only if you submit it yourself — the feedback form. The privacy page lists each of these in detail.

The Service Is Provided As Is

EraseMint is offered free of charge and without warranties of any kind. The AI repair rebuilds the area under a mark from its surroundings, so it cannot restore pixels that were destroyed when the mark was added — results vary from image to image, and a poor result is a possible outcome rather than a defect.

We also do not promise that the site, the model files, or the hosts that serve them will always be reachable. The service may change or be discontinued.

Acceptable Use

Removing a visible mark does not transfer any copyright or licence: whoever holds the rights to an image keeps them.

• Process only images that you own or that you are authorised to edit.
• Do not use the tool to strip ownership, licensing or attribution marks from material you have no rights to, or to work around the terms of a stock or licensed asset.
• Do not use the tool for anything unlawful, or to produce content that is unlawful, misleading or harmful.
• Do not attempt to overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site or to the hosts that serve the model files.
• We may restrict access to the site if it is used in ways that break these rules.

Your Images and Our Material

You keep every right to the images you process. Because the processing happens on your device, we never receive them and cannot see, store or recover them — keep your own copy of the original file, since a repair replaces pixels permanently.

The EraseMint name, design and code remain ours, as do the third-party components we build on.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, EraseMint is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site — including damage to an image, loss of a file, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Analytics and Privacy

We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which steps of the tool fail. It sets cookies, and blocking it does not remove any functionality. Details — including how to delete the cached model files — are on the privacy page.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the tool changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision; if you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
